Â鶹¹ÙÍø

In addition to writing a weekly newspaper column since 1949, native Â鶹¹ÙÍøn Evelyn Birkby has been a writer and broadcaster for KMA Radio and Kitchen-Klatter, part of the longest-running homemaker program in the history of radio. In 1996 she represented Â鶹¹ÙÍø at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival; in 1998 she was named an Â鶹¹ÙÍø Master Farm Homemaker, and in 2009 Â鶹¹ÙÍø Public Television featured her in a documentary about radio homemakers. She is the author of ten books, including Neighboring on the Air: Cooking with the KMA Radio Homemakers (Â鶹¹ÙÍø, 1991) and Up a Country Lane Cookbook (Â鶹¹ÙÍø, 1993).
